Why...?

Well as we all know anywhere we look and anywhere we go, we see images of immodest things... The world portrays (or Entertainment Industry's that is) that we all have to look and be a certain size to be loved... The sad thing is LOTS of girls fall into it. Because society has branded that being skinny is a must, but being too skinny is unhealthy...? 

            We pick on those that are called "overweight" to the point that they start saying they are "unhealthy" because they are too skinny...? Really No one will ever have that prefect size and No one will ever really be happy with their weight or body. But we all will and can have prefect bodies, God says that we will receive a new body in heaven a prefect one... (will find versus he-he)

 A free gift was given and all we have to do is accept it! God created us and we should all be happy and content with our self, yes there will be unhappy days you may not like something about your body. But be happy that you still have a body... I do have a tendency to complain about my stomach, but all in all I pray and I know I will be content with myself. I know as long as I eat right and stay active I have nothing to worry about.

No I may never look like a skinny model in a magazine, but really who wants to look like that? I know I love my size and everything that comes with it; yes I would like to tone it up someday. But I know that one day the prefect body will be given to me in heaven and I know that all I need to do is be content with what you do have. Or as I once heard someone say (as well as I tell others) "God loves us the way we are, but if we are not happy with it we can change it". If we do not like something like my weight or giggly belly is what I call it : ) then do something about it! 

No, I do not mean to go have surgery and change you your face or whatever it may be. For example I love my weight but would like to tone up my arms and tummy, well then doing cardio/exercise and eating right can help that. The way I see it if you are unhappy the one thing, the most important thing is to pray to God.... 

Pray that he helps lift you up, helps change your attitude and the way you are viewing yourself and others. To help open your eyes to what he sees in you, God took time to make us. Yes we choose and make decision he might not agree with. But we can change that; we can give up lifting praises to ourselves. Not in a boasting way but in a way to help heal and mend that broken part of us that somehow was broken.

We do not need to worry about the world’s image of what we should look like! It is about what God likes... So the next time you see a magazine with all these skinny models or famous people and you start to feel down... 

You tell yourself that

 - one day God will bless us with a perfect body in heaven!

 - That you are beautiful or handsome because you are you!

We need to remember that we are here to spread the gospel and not get wrapped up in our flesh or of this world because soon it will all disappear and what will you have to show for it when you are standing in front of Our Lord Jesus and being held accountable for how we lived our lives...

Romans 14:10 ~ ...we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.

Romans 14:12 ~ So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.
